The hex bar deadlift is performed inside the bar with handles at the sides.
Stand in the center of the hex bar with feet hip-width apart. Bend your hips and knees to grab the handles, keeping a flat back.
Push through the floor to stand up straight, then lower yourself under control.
Your back stays flat. The body position is more upright than in a standard deadlift.
