The single-leg squat, or pistol squat, requires strength, balance, and mobility.
Standing on one leg, extend your other leg in front of you and your arms forward for balance.
Lower yourself as far as possible on the supporting leg while keeping the other leg extended above the floor, then rise back up.
The heel stays on the floor and the knee tracks in line with the foot. Start with the assisted version.
