The barbell hip thrust works the glutes, with your upper back resting on a bench.
Seated on the floor, upper back against the edge of a bench, roll the barbell into the crease of your hips (with a pad), feet flat at hip-width.
Drive through your heels to raise your hips until your thighs are parallel to the floor, squeeze the glutes, then lower back down.
At the top, your chin stays tucked and your shins vertical. Do not arch your lower back.
