The barbell row targets the entire back with the torso hinged forward.
Stand with your feet at hip-width apart, holding the barbell with your hands slightly wider than shoulder-width. Bend your knees slightly and hinge your torso forward to about 45°, keeping your back flat.
Pull the barbell towards your lower abdomen while driving your elbows back, then lower it in a controlled manner.
Your back remains flat and your torso motionless: do not straighten up to pull.
