This clinical study investigated the effect of daily supplementation with 2.5 g of porcine collagen peptides on atherosclerosis in healthy older adults. A significant reduction in baPWV, a marker of atherosclerosis, was observed in the collagen group compared with the placebo group. These results suggest that porcine collagen peptides may help prevent atherosclerosis in older adults.
